Thomson Reuters warmly invites Rotman MBA students to visit its Customer Centre on the 29th Floor of Thomson Reuters’ global headquarters at 333 Bay Street to compete in a case competition. In the Thomson Reuters VUCA day challenge, teams of two will be given a finance & strategy case similar to a challenge that Thomson Reuters has faced. Each pair of students will then be required to develop, and present a recommendation and strategic solution to company representatives. RFA and MCA executives will select approximately forty first-year students to participate in the event – 20 interested in the Strategy Track of the Summer Associates Program (SAP), and 20 interested in the Finance Track of SAP. One Thomson Reuters leader will judge the first round, after which four finalist pairs will be selected to present in front of a panel of judges and all other participants for the final round. Following the event, all participants are invited to a company hosted reception to network with the judges and other Thomson Reuters employees.
In addition, the winning team will get an invitation to participate in the final round interviews for the SAP, and the second-place team will be invited for the first-round interviews. The top three teams will also receive gift cards provided by Thomson Reuters.
